Pinduoduo stock tops Nasdaq 100
Stocks in the Nasdaq 100 were largely flat today, with the stock market barometer rising 79 points. The index reached a value of 17,118 points. Gainers on the trading day included Pinduoduo, Nvidia and Lululemon Athletica. Pinduoduo recorded particularly significant price increases with 5.20 percent, followed by Nvidia with 2.83 percent and Lululemon Athletica with 2.49 percent.
On the other hand, at the bottom of the Nasdaq 100 were Tesla, Charter Communications and Netflix with losses. Tesla recorded a price decline of 3.11 percent, followed by Charter Communications with 1.87 percent and Netflix with 1.32 percent. Despite the sideways movement, the Nasdaq 100's balance sheet for the current year remains unchanged, with a price increase of 1.82 percent since the beginning of the year.
The Nasdaq 100 Index is made up of the 100 largest stocks on the Nasdaq, with primarily growth-oriented and speculative securities being traded. The index mainly includes technology, internet, software and IT stocks and is calculated as a price index without taking dividends into account.
