Share price: DAX closes in positive territory

On today's trading day, the German stock index DAX recorded a positive trend. The index temporarily rose to 18,105.82 points, an increase of 0.59 percent compared to the previous trading day. Despite the positive development towards the end of the trading day, the DAX was still 3.05 percent below its annual high of April 2nd at 18,001.60 points. The fluctuation range of the index today was 205.80 points.

Trading on the electronic exchange Xetra ended, as usual, at 5:30 p.m. CET. Overall, the DAX recorded a decline of 0.88 percent this trading week. Henkel was one of the winners in the DAX today with a gain of 7.22 percent, while Symrise was the biggest loser with a minimal gain of 0.30 percent. Infineon recorded the second-worst value in the leading index with a price increase of 0.32 percent.

The trading volume of DAX companies decreased compared to the last 30 days to 71,206,323 shares traded, a decrease of 2.15 percent compared to the monthly average of 72,772,678 shares. The New York Stock Exchange's Dow Jones Index, on the other hand, recorded a daily increase of 1.24 percent and is currently at 38,701.22 points.
