Stock market week with turbulence: Dax closes in the red, Siemens Energy shares recover

After an eventful week on the German stock market, calm returned on Friday afternoon. The Dax closed on Friday with a loss of 0.30 percent at 14,687.41 points. On a weekly basis, the German leading index recorded a loss of around 0.8 percent. The MDax of medium-sized stock exchange companies moved little on Friday and ended trading with a decline of 0.10 percent at 23,772.02 points. The other leading European stock exchanges recorded more significant sales. The EuroStoxx 50 lost 0.87 percent, France's Cac 40 fell 1.4 percent and Britain's FTSE 100 slipped 0.9 percent. In New York, the Dow Jones Industrial lost 0.5 percent at the close of European trading. Covestro's shares ultimately lost 3.4 percent at the bottom of the DAX, while Siemens Energy shares recovered at the top of the DAX and gained 9 percent.
