Dax price is picking up speed: recovery continues
The Dax's recovery is expected to continue on Wednesday, as the leading German index rose by 0.3 percent to 18,187 points in the early minutes of trading. This means that it is once again heading towards its record high of 18,567 points at the beginning of the month. The MDax for medium-sized stocks also recorded an increase of 0.3 percent to 26,702 points on Wednesday morning. At the same time, the EuroStoxx 50, the leading index for the Euroregion, rose by 0.4 percent.
Despite the publication of new business climate data from the Ifo Institute, the recovery is unlikely to be affected. Experts at Landesbank Helaba expect further signals of an economic recovery, as the preliminary purchasing managers' indices have already risen in both the manufacturing and service industries. Investors have regained confidence following Iran's recent attack on Israel and the lack of further escalation in the Middle East.
Despite positive business figures from the previous evening, Deutsche Börse shares were initially unable to benefit. The Eschborn company's securities lost more than one percent of their value. However, overall market sentiment appears to be positive, which could lead to further price increases.
