Euro STOXX 50 falls by 0.53 percent: current level at 4,963.60 points

The Euro STOXX 50 is currently recording a decline. At 12:08 p.m., the index was 0.53 percent weaker at 4,963.60 points in STOXX trading. This corresponds to a total value of the shares included of 4.325 trillion euros. At the start of trading on Thursday, the index showed a gain of 0.070 percent to 4,993.35 points, after being at 4,989.88 points the previous day.

The stock market barometer reached a daily high of 4,994.41 units, while the index's lowest level on Thursday was 4,963.58 points. On a weekly basis, the Euro STOXX 50 has recorded a gain of 0.865 percent so far. One month ago the index was at 5,044.19 points, three months ago at 4,582.26 points and a year ago at 4,377.85 points. Since the beginning of 2024, the index has recorded an increase of 9.99 percent, with an annual high of 5,121.71 points and an annual low of 4,380.97 points.

The list of the strongest individual stocks in the Euro STOXX 50 currently includes Infineon, Bayer, Ferrari, Deutsche Börse and Eni. On the losing side are SAP SE, UniCredit, Allianz, Münchener Rückversicherungs-Gesellschaft and Volkswagen (VW) vz. Infineon has the largest trading volume in the index, while LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton shares have the largest market capitalization in the Euro STOXX 50.

Fundamental metrics such as the price-to-earnings ratio and dividend yield vary within the index. Volkswagen (VW) vz stock has the lowest price-to-earnings ratio, while Intesa Sanpaolo stock is expected to have the highest dividend yield, according to FactSet estimates.
