Euro STOXX 50 closes trading day with gains

Friday trading in Europe ended positively for the Euro STOXX 50. The index closed the trading day with a gain of 1.39 percent at 5,007.64 points. At the start of trading it recorded an increase of 0.227 percent to 4,950.22 points compared to the previous day. During the day, the Euro STOXX 50 reached its maximum at 5,017.98 points, while the lowest level was 4,950.22 points.

The Euro STOXX 50 has recorded an increase of 1.76 percent since the beginning of the week. Compared to the status a month ago, the value on March 26, 2024 was 5,064.18 points. Three months ago, the index reached 4,635.47 points on January 26, 2024. A year ago, on April 26, 2023, the Euro STOXX 50 stood at 4,347.71 points.

So far in 2024, the index has risen by 10.97 percent. The annual high of the Euro STOXX 50 is 5,121.71 points, while the annual low was reached at 4,380.97 points. Among the best individual stocks in the Euro STOXX 50 are Siemens, SAP SE, DHL Group, adidas and Bayer. In contrast, BASF, Munich Reinsurance Company, Eni, Ferrari and UniCredit are under pressure.

The Deutsche Telekom share currently has the highest trading volume in the Euro STOXX 50. LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton stock has the largest market capitalization in the index. In terms of fundamental metrics, the Volkswagen (VW) vz share has the lowest price-earnings ratio in 2024. The Intesa Sanpaolo share is expected to have the highest dividend yield in the index in 2024 at 9.13 percent.
