MDAX stagnates: slight gains, but no clear direction
The MDAX remains almost unchanged at 26,383 points due to a lack of momentum. Stock market shows no clear direction. TAG Immobilien, LEG Immobilien and K+S are the winners. On the other hand, Freenet, HelloFresh and Bechtle recorded declines. The MDAX has been down 2.78 percent since the beginning of the year. The pharmaceutical, chemical, mechanical engineering and finance sectors dominate.
MDAX stagnates: slight gains, but no clear direction
On Tuesday, the MDAX did not show a clear direction on the stock exchange, as the stock barometer was only slightly up by 0.15 percent. The stock market participants are neither strongly interested in buying nor selling, which leads to a slight increase in the price of the index to 26,383 points.
The leading positions on the trading day are currently held by TAG Immobilien, LEG Immobilien and K+S. TAG Immobilien recorded the largest price gain with an increase of 4.57 percent to 13.50 euros. LEG Immobilien and K+S also recorded price increases of 3.35 percent and 3.30 percent, respectively.
On the other hand, the shares of Freenet, HelloFresh and Bechtle are showing negative developments. Freenet recorded the largest loss with a discount of 3.55 percent. HelloFresh and Bechtle follow with price declines of 3.19 percent and 2.20 percent, respectively.
Overall, the MDAX has fallen by 2.78 percent since the beginning of the year. The index includes 50 stocks from the Frankfurt Stock Exchange after the 40 stocks from the DAX. The companies included mainly come from the pharmaceutical, chemical, mechanical engineering and finance sectors, although they are often highly specialized.
