MDAX loses slightly: Aroundtown SA leads the list of winners
Today, the MDAX index recorded slight losses in stock trading, with the index falling by 0.50 percent. The MDAX is currently valued at 26,570 points. Overall, the bears dominated trading over the bulls.
The shares of Aroundtown SA, Siltronic and Evotec stood out positively today. Particularly notable was the price increase of Aroundtown SA by 4.81 percent, while Siltronic rose by 3.14 percent and Evotec recorded an increase of 2.86 percent. Aroundtown SA is a specialist real estate company with a focus on Germany and the Netherlands, while Siltronic and Evotec also reported positive developments.
On the other hand, the shares of Puma, Hugo Boss and Befesa recorded price declines. The loss was particularly significant at Puma of 4.33 percent, followed by Hugo Boss with a decline of 3.12 percent and Befesa with a discount of 3.01 percent. Puma was last quoted at 40.70 euros, Hugo Boss at 50.84 euros and Befesa at 35.48 euros.
With today's losses, the MDAX recorded a slight deterioration in its balance sheet for the current year, which is overall negative. Since the beginning of the year, the index has decreased by 2.09 percent. The MDAX is considered the second most important German stock index after the DAX and includes 50 stocks from various sectors. Both the DAX and the MDAX serve as underlying values for various structured products.
