Mega-cap rally influences German stock market - experts remain optimistic
The current focus of the world stock exchanges is on large-cap American stocks, especially the so-called mega-caps. The rally in technology stocks since December 2023 has caused the concentration on the international stock markets to further increase, which is damaging German stocks, among other things. Jan Ehrhardt, fund manager and deputy CEO of German fund boutique DJE Kapital, expressed concerns about the German stock market. He sees a lack of confidence, although he identifies many current problems and unpromising companies. Nevertheless, he is optimistic and believes in possible positive surprises in the German economy in the near future, despite existing structural problems. Ehrhardt emphasized that there is no “bubble scenario” for German stocks.
