Nasdaq 100 closes higher today (17,752 points) with strong performance from Alphabet and Nvidia. Intel records losses. Current developments in the stock market.

Nasdaq 100 Index: Alphabet leads the way
The Nasdaq 100 index recorded a positive trend in stock trading today. The index rose significantly by 1.84 percent and is currently valued at 17,752 points. At the top of the index are the shares of Alphabet (A share), Alphabet (C share) and Nvidia. Alphabet (A share) rose 10.16 percent, while Alphabet (C share) rose 9.84 percent. Nvidia shares also showed positive development with an increase of 6.12 percent.
In contrast, shares of Intel, Atlassian and Dexcom are at the bottom of the Nasdaq 100 chart. Intel fell 9.17 percent, while Atlassian and Dexcom posted losses of 9.12 percent and 8.82 percent, respectively. The development of the Nasdaq 100 in the current calendar year has so far been positive with an increase of 5.01 percent since the beginning of the year.
The Nasdaq 100 Index was launched in 1985 and reflects developments on the US Nasdaq stock exchange in New York. It includes the 100 largest stocks by market capitalization, but excludes financial stocks. The index is calculated purely as a price index, without taking dividend payments into account.
