NASDAQ 100 continues positive performance

The NASDAQ 100 continues its positive performance and is trading 0.71 percent higher at 17,596.38 points in current trading. The previous day, the index closed at 17,613.66 points and started Wednesday trading at 17,471.47 points. The NASDAQ 100 reached its daily high on Wednesday at 17,653.66 points, while the low was 17,579.11 points.

Since the beginning of this week, the NASDAQ 100 is up 2.54 percent. A month ago there was no trading activity due to the weekend. The index was valued at 18,339.44 points on the previous trading day. In comparison, the NASDAQ 100 was at 17,499.30 points three months ago. A year earlier, on April 24, 2023, the index was 12,969.76 points.

Overall, the NASDAQ 100 has recorded an increase of 6.36 percent since the beginning of the year. The index's high this year was 18,464.70 points, while the low was recorded at 16,249.19 points. Tesla is one of the strongest individual stocks in the NASDAQ 100 with an increase of 11.02 percent to $160.63. On the other hand, companies like Enphase Energy, CSX and Netflix are seeing pressure on their stock prices.

The most traded stock on the NASDAQ 100 is currently Tesla, with a trading volume of 6,919,458 shares. Microsoft has the highest market capitalization in the index, with a value of 2.786 trillion euros. In terms of price-to-earnings ratio, Walgreens Boots Alliance stock has the lowest P/E ratio of 5.59, with a forecast dividend yield of 8.46 percent compared to other stocks in the index.
