Nasdaq 100 falls 1.23 percent: AstraZeneca at the top
Today there is a slightly clouded mood on the stock market for the Nasdaq 100. The stock barometer recorded a decline of 1.23 percent to 17,311 points compared to the previous trading day. Both private and institutional investors in the USA currently appear to be in a rather pessimistic mood.
The day's top performers on the Nasdaq 100 are AstraZeneca plc, Marvell Technology Group and Broadcom. Particularly noteworthy is the increase in AstraZeneca plc (ADR) shares by 5.90 percent to $75.40. Shares of Marvell Technology Group and Broadcom also saw price increases of 3.92 percent and 3.71 percent, respectively.
On the other hand, Meta Platforms, Comcast and O'Reilly Automotive are among the losers of the trading day in the Nasdaq 100. Meta Platforms shares lost the most with a discount of 10.61 percent to $ 441.12. Comcast and O'Reilly Automotive saw share price declines of 7.06 percent and 6.33 percent, respectively.
So far in the current calendar year, the Nasdaq 100 has recorded a positive price increase of 2.16 percent. The Nasdaq 100 Index is composed of the largest 100 stocks on the Nasdaq, which primarily include technology, internet, software and IT stocks. Financial stocks are not included in the Nasdaq 100 according to index rules.
