TecDAX on Thursday: losses despite a positive start

The TecDAX started with losses on Thursday, recording a decline of 1.12 percent to 3,220.66 points via XETRA at 9:11 a.m. The market value of the index components amounted to 502.672 billion euros. At the start of trading there was a minimal increase of 0.051 percent to 3,258.73 points, compared to 3,257.06 points the previous day. The daily low of the TecDAX was 3,220.18 units, while the high was reached at 3,259.58 points.

Since the beginning of the week, the TecDAX has recorded a loss of 3.16 percent. One month ago the index was at 3,383.65 points on March 18, 2024, three months ago at 3,269.15 points and a year ago on April 18, 2023 at 3,321.55 points. Since the beginning of 2024, the index fell by 3.13 percent, reaching a high of 3,490.44 points and a low of 3,187.26 points. The top performers in the TecDAX are currently AIXTRON SE, freenet, SUSS MicroTec SE, Deutsche Telekom and PNE, while Sartorius vz, HENSOLDT, Telefonica Deutschland, Infineon and EVOTEC SE are under pressure. Infineon has the highest trading volume in the TecDAX, while SAP SE has the largest market capitalization.

With regard to the fundamental data of the TecDAX stocks, the United Internet share has the lowest price-earnings ratio (P/E) of 10.38 and the freenet share is expected to have the highest dividend yield of 7.05 percent compared to other stocks in the index.
