TecDAX closes in the red: developments and tops/flops on Wednesday
The TecDAX recorded a decline on Wednesday. Via XETRA, the TecDAX ultimately recorded a decline of 0.90 percent to 3,262.73 points. The market capitalization of the values included amounts to 508.295 billion euros. At the start of trading on Wednesday, the TecDAX was at 3,291.22 points, after 3,292.22 points the previous day.
The TecDAX's daily high on Wednesday was 3,291.22 points, while the stock market barometer's lowest level was 3,258.13 points.
With regard to the development of the TecDAX over the year, the index has recorded a decline of 1.90 percent since the beginning of the week. A month ago, XETRA trading was suspended due to the weekend. On the previous trading day, the TecDAX reached 3,379.68 points. Three months earlier the index was at 3,224.62 points, and a year ago it was at 3,321.21 points.
Since the beginning of 2024, the TecDAX has recorded a decline of 1.86 percent. The index's annual high was 3,490.44 points, while its annual low was recorded at 3,187.26 points.
The top stocks in the TecDAX on Wednesday were Telefonica Deutschland, SMA Solar, freenet, CompuGroup Medical SE and United Internet. The weakest stocks were Carl Zeiss Meditec, AIXTRON SE, JENOPTIK, Sartorius vz and Nagarro SE.
In terms of trading volume, Deutsche Telekom shares had the highest trading volume in the TecDAX. SAP SE stock had the highest market capitalization in the index.
According to FactSet estimates, United Internet shares had the lowest price-to-earnings ratio (P/E) among TecDAX stocks this year. The highest dividend yield was forecast for freenet shares.
