Deutsche Bank: Despite crises, the economy remains strong and valued!

On February 22, 2025, the board of Deutsche Bank for international business, von zur Mühlen, pointed out in the “Rheinische Post” that the German economy sometimes unnecessarily badmouths itself. The quality of many of the German companies' products is excellent, which is also underlined by the companies' assessment of them as valued business partners. Despite the current economic difficulties in Germany, the starting point remains positive.

Successes in trade finance

Deutsche Bank was named number 1 in trade finance a total of 25 times in the Euromoney Trade Finance Survey 2025. This survey, which has been conducted for almost 30 years, serves as a benchmark for banks in this sector and provides insights into customers' needs and their perceptions of banks.

In 2024, the questionnaire was restructured to provide market-based data. Over 13,000 corporate customers rated banks, resulting in more than 260 rankings across five regions and 50 countries. Deutsche Bank received the award as “World’s Best Trade Finance Bank for Large Corporates”, one of six global awards. Vendors were evaluated across 24 quality criteria and the overall score was calculated as an average across four key categories: products, services, people and technology.
