As Schuhbeck himself explained, his brother covers the costs of his health insurance, but the financial support from his friends is not enough to cover his costs. In view of this situation, he plans to reorganize his personal circumstances.

Bankruptcy and corporate problems

The complexity of Schuhbeck's financial difficulties is made clear by the investigations by the Munich I public prosecutor's office. According to an employee, his companies were already insolvent before bankruptcy was officially declared. The information comes from the account records of his restaurants, catering services and his cooking school. Pages of Excel tables were used, documenting a total of eleven companies.

The data shows that for many of these companies, creditors' claims significantly exceeded the available liquid assets. These circumstances have led to the chef's current legal situation. Schuhbeck has admitted the prosecution's allegations, which include delaying bankruptcy and fraud with Corona aid. He said he was overwhelmed by the situation and relied on advice from his tax advisor at the time.
