Bayrischzell 2025: Solid finances and stable trade tax assessment rate!

The municipality of Bayrischzell is financially well positioned for 2025. Treasurer Sandra Sieber informed the local council about the budget figures, which increase financial leeway through positive trade tax revenue and a reduced district levy of 1.1 million euros. In total, the municipality has 276,836 euros more at its disposal than in the previous year.

The debt level is expected to increase to around 5 million euros, mainly due to the debt restructuring of two projects. Although interest savings of 3.3 percentage points are realized, household expenses of 1.1 million euros burden the budget. The general renovation of the sewage treatment plant in Osterhofen represents a major challenge, for which loans are planned in the following years.

The administrative budget is growing by 5.88 percent, which is primarily due to rising personnel, electricity and insurance costs. In contrast, the asset budget is shrinking due to lower investments compared to previous years. The contribution to income tax is 1.12 million euros, which means an increase of 30,500 euros compared to the district levy. Trade tax revenue for 2024 amounts to 1.38 million euros, while an amount of 1.1 million euros is forecast for 2025. The spa fee has remained stable since 2021 and is currently 410,000 euros, with a tourism fee of 250,000 euros. The total volume of the budget is 10.3 million euros, compared to 12.1 million euros last year. The administrative budget amounts to 6.2 million euros (previous year: 5.9 million euros).

The largest income comes from administrative and operating costs (2.21 million euros), real taxes (1.41 million euros) and community taxes (1.23 million euros). The largest expenses concentrate on personnel costs (1.4 million euros), administration and operating costs (1.33 million euros) and levies (1.2 million euros).

The asset budget amounts to 4.1 million euros (previous year: 6.2 million euros). The largest income in the asset budget is the sale of land (695,000 euros) and the promotion of broadband expansion (556,500 euros).
