Federal government pushes forward contribution increase: Employees face further expensive shock

The upcoming drastic increases in contributions for health insurance, nursing care and pension insurance mean a further financial shock for employees. The responsibility for this development lies primarily with the federal government. The traffic light alliance, consisting of the SPD, Greens and FDP, has so far turned a blind eye to the social security funds and done nothing.

Instead of containing rising costs through effective reforms, ministers like Hubertus Heil and Karl Lauterbach are increasing the burden on citizens and companies even further. It gives the impression that they are tapping into the money of employees and entrepreneurs indefinitely. This approach is not only unfair, but also endangers the livelihood of the welfare state.

It is undeniable that stable pension insurance and good nursing and health care can only be guaranteed through financing by working citizens. But to do this, employees must be able to record sufficient net income in their account at the end of the month. The government's current policy threatens to achieve exactly the opposite.

It is time for the government to rethink its policies and take measures that benefit citizens and stabilize the welfare state in the long term. A comprehensive reform policy that does justice to citizens and ensures social security is urgently needed. Transparent and responsible action on the part of the government is essential to strengthen the population's trust in the social systems.
