Since the beginning of the week, the DAX has lost 1.17 percent, after it was at 21,253.70 points on April 15, 2025. In the same period a year ago, on May 15, 2024, the DAX stood at 18,869.36 points.

Nevertheless, the index has performed impressively since the beginning of 2025, with an increase of 17.25 percent. The current annual high is 23,911.98 points, while the annual low was recorded at 18,489.91 points. DAX members represent a total value of 2.111 trillion euros, like finance.net reported.

Trading volume and market capitalization

In terms of trading volume, Deutsche Bank stands out. It recorded the highest trading volume today with 2,442,944 shares traded. SAP SE remains the largest stock in the DAX with a market capitalization of 300.979 billion euros.

A look at the fundamental indicators of the DAX shows that Porsche Automobil vz shares have the lowest P/E ratio with a price-earnings ratio (P/E) of 3.16. On the other hand, the Volkswagen (VW) vz share offers the highest return for 2025 with an expected dividend yield of 6.15 percent.
