Major stocks in the Dow Jones rose sharply today, led by Amazon, which rose 7.39% to $207.33, followed by Nike, up 6.54% to $62.11. Apple (+5.06% to USD 208.58) and Merck (+4.78% to USD 79.60) also show positive trends. However, in contrast, there were also losses in some companies such as Verizon, which lost 1.99% to $42.74.

The index's fundamentals also deserve special mention: Merck has the lowest price-to-earnings ratio in 2025 at 8.52, while Verizon is the leader with a dividend yield of 6.27%.
The Dow Jones is calculated daily between 9:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. local time and represents the most important stock index in the USA, which includes 30 of the largest US companies. The index is verified by an independent panel of The Wall Street Journal and has its roots in 1896, when it was founded by Charles Dow and Edward Jones.
