The SpielRaum association is looking for a volunteer board member for the finance department. According to a report by WOZ The new board member is expected to be responsible for the association's financial planning. Tasks include communicating with management and accounting, assessing financial development and advising management on strategic decisions. The aim is to support the consolidation and future direction of the club and its offerings.
We are looking for a motivated person who is prepared to support the financial and strategic development of the association over a period of four years or longer. Experience or interests in the area of non-profit organizations, as well as knowledge in the commercial area and in medium and long-term financial planning are desired. The SpielRaum association also offers the opportunity to get involved with a lot of creative freedom and access to an interdisciplinary network.
Goals and offers of the association
The association has set itself the goal of creating child-friendly and intergenerational open spaces in Switzerland. Natural open spaces are planned in German-speaking Switzerland that follow a participatory approach in which children, young people, adults and seniors are actively involved in the development. The politically independent and religiously neutral association receives a service contract with the canton of Bern and generates income primarily from service offerings. In addition, the CEPS at the University of Basel offers an intensive course on strategic financial management in non-profit organizations, as shown on CEPS is reported. This course takes place at the Parkhotel Gunten in Switzerland and the participation fee is CHF 2,900, which includes all course materials and an evening event. For SwissFoundations members there is a discount of CHF 300 on the participation fee.
