Fisker electric car: US manufacturer drastically cuts prices

After the New York Stock Exchange's decision on April 10, 2024 to exclude Fisker's shares from trading, the electric car manufacturer is heading towards imminent insolvency. To avoid this, the company has announced drastic price cuts for its only available model, the Fisker Ocean. In the USA, discounts of up to 39 percent are available on the various models, such as “Sport”, “Ultra” and “Extreme”.

Fisker has also announced price reductions for existing vehicles on its German website. Customers in Germany can save up to 20,000 euros on existing Ocean models. The price cuts apply primarily to the top-of-the-range Ocean variant and are available from April 3 while stocks last.

In order to empty stocks, Fisker is now selling its vehicles at competitive prices. This move comes after problems the company has experienced in recent months, including the loss of millions of dollars in pre-order deposits. After an internal review, Fisker decided to cooperate with local car dealers in the future instead of operating through direct sales.

The search for a new investor is proving to be extremely difficult for Fisker, and experts have little hope that the company will find a solvent partner. The New York Stock Exchange's decision to delist Fisker's securities further exacerbates the situation and indicates serious financial problems. Despite the company's efforts, Fisker's future is in jeopardy.
