Frankfurt's football field league: Children take responsibility and strengthen community!
In Frankfurt, the football field becomes the pulsating heart of the district! Here, children and young people not only take responsibility for their sporting activities, but also learn how important teamwork and organization are. The Frankfurter Bolzplatzliga F43+ is the place where up to 25 teams come together to play football and organize exciting tournaments. A real adventure for the young athletes who also get to know their city better!
A strong community project
Finance State Secretary Becker emphasizes how important this project is for the development of children. “Playing football successfully, taking on responsibility and helping to organize training and tournaments – these are the challenges that the young people take on,” he explains. These activities not only strengthen personal identity, but also promote a sense of belonging to the community. The football field becomes a place where friendship and sporting ambition go hand in hand.
The concept of the sports district team, which draws on proven intercultural and social district work in Gallus, combines sport, culture, education and training. Becker emphasizes: “The project helps to fill the football field in the district with life and to make people feel responsible.” With the support of the state of Hesse in the form of sports funding, this great initiative is being pushed forward to make the football field a place of togetherness and joy.
