Memorial service in Haselbach: Peter's legacy and financial worries!
On the eve of the Solemnity of the Apostles Peter and Paul, a special service took place in the Haselbach Church of Christ the King. The service was celebrated under the leadership of Father Jobi Jose to commemorate the historical significance of the two apostles and at the same time to address the financial challenges of the Haselbach branch church foundation. In his homily, Father Jobi Jose highlighted the biographies of Peter and Paul, highlighting Peter, who was described by Jesus as the rock on which the Church was founded. The combination of these themes once again underlines the role of the apostles in the history of the church and the challenges that exist today PNP reported.
The service not only represented a religious celebration, but also linked spiritual traditions with the contemporary needs of the community. During the celebrations, the responsibility for the financial stability of the Haselbach branch church foundation was discussed, which was seen as particularly urgent. These aspects were reinforced by the special occasion, the Feast of the Apostles, and highlighted the continued influence and importance of Peter and Paul within the Church.
Consecration of P. Placidus
Coincidentally, the ordination of P. Placidus is also mentioned in this context, which took place on the solemnity of the Princes of the Apostles Peter and Paul in Salzburg Cathedral. The consecration was led by Archbishop Franz Lackner and took place in the presence of more than a hundred priests, five abbots and three bishops. Father Placidus, who was ordained a priest according to the order of Melchizedek, spoke his 'Adsum' together with another candidate from the Archbishop's Seminary St. Peter's Abbey reported.
The following night a high mass was celebrated in the Archabbey of St. Peter under the direction of Archabbot Korbinian. The next morning at 7 a.m. Father Placidus held the convent office, which is known as the monastery primacy. The priesthood celebrations attracted numerous guests from various regions, including Rupertiwinkel and Rome, underlining the importance of the occasion. Next week there will be the home primacy in Saaldorf, which is seen as another part of his ceremonial introduction into the service.
Father Placidus Schinagl completed his theological studies in both Salzburg and Rome and has been working as a pastor at the church of German-speaking Catholics in Rome, Santa Maria dell'Anima, for a year. He will remain with the community in the coming academic year and continue his studies in canon law, which will promote both his personal and ecclesiastical development.
