Hanka Rackwitz reveals her financial ups and downs!
Hanka Rackwitz, known from various reality formats such as “Jungle Camp”, will reveal her finances in a Sat.1 documentary entitled “People talk about money”. The program, which will be broadcast on January 20, 2025, provides insights into the current financial situation of the 55-year-old, who was last seen in the “Legends Jungle” in 2024. Rackwitz, who became known after appearing on the second season of "Big Brother" in 2000 and was nicknamed "Hanka the Witch," has struggled with anxiety and obsessive-compulsive disorder in the past and has published two books about it.
After her career on television, Rackwitz worked as a real estate agent. She initially had high five-figure account balances, but has since had financial difficulties. According to the disclosures, she currently lives in a one-room apartment with monthly utilities of 74 euros and has to get by on her monthly income of 1,550 euros, which is made up of reserves and book sales. After deducting her fixed costs, she still has 675.17 euros left, of which she plans to save 100 euros for her own food truck.
Financial challenges and the jungle exit
Rackwitz admitted in the Allstars jungle camp that she was not doing well financially. Her voluntary exit from the camp means that she has to forego the majority of her salary. Despite this situation, she emphasizes that the decision to leave was the right one and that her health is her top priority. She receives a monthly pension of 320 euros and has experienced phases in the past in which she was in a better financial position, but also quickly lost this.
With the money from the fee from the “Legend Jungle” she bought some equipment, including a washing machine, camera, television and music box. However, Rackwitz has difficulty using the new devices, which she comments on with humor. Occasionally she also treats herself to delicacies such as trout caviar, which gives her a feeling of freedom.
