Hansgrohe defies the crisis: Solid sales despite global challenges!
Hansgrohe SE, a leading manufacturer of bathroom and kitchen solutions, generated total sales of 1.387 billion euros in the 2024 financial year. This corresponds to a decline in sales of 1.3% compared to the previous year, when sales were still at 1.406 billion euros. However, adjusted for currency effects, sales remained at the previous year's level. This was announced during an annual press conference in Frankfurt/Main on March 17, 2025 Hansgrohe Group reported.
The operating result fell by 1% to 199.9 million euros compared to 201.7 million euros in 2023. On a positive note, the sales-earnings ratio increased slightly to 14.4%, compared to 14.3% in the previous year. EBITDA remained almost unchanged at 256.6 million euros (2023: 256.8 million euros), with a slightly increased EBITDA margin of 18.5% (2023: 18.3%).
Autumnal challenges and market developments
Despite the stagnating construction economy in Europe and China, Hansgrohe recorded some successes in the project business. The classic trading business, on the other hand, showed a slight decline. A significant share of sales of 326.6 million euros came from the home market of Germany, with domestic sales falling by 1% (2023: 329.8 million euros). Foreign sales fell by 1.5%; adjusted for currency effects, they rose by 0.3%. The foreign share of sales remained stable at 76.5%.
For 2024, the company recorded investments of 55.5 million euros, a decrease compared to 81.6 million euros in 2023. A significant part of these investments went into the newly built production site in Serbia, whose electroplating facility was completed in 2024. Production capacities are still distributed globally, with eight locations worldwide, including four in Germany and one in Serbia.
Hansgrohe looks to the future with a clear focus on innovation, flexibility and sustainable processes. In the current 2025 financial year, the company also attaches importance to the further development of its sustainable strategies, which has not least led to awards such as the German Sustainability Prize 2024 and the EcoVadis Platinum Medal. The number of employees increased to 5,645 in 2024, an increase of 197 people compared to the previous year.
