Music comes back to life in Höchst! The popular jazz festival, known as “Jazz at the Castle”, is just around the corner and promises an unforgettable experience for all music lovers. On the day of the open monument, the old Höchst Castle becomes the venue for rousing jazz sounds that make the hearts of visitors beat faster. Finance State Secretary Becker emphasizes the importance of such events and explains: "Jazz concerts promise hours of music and lightness. The festival will take place on September 8, 2024 and offers a varied program with three talented bands. It starts from 11 a.m. to 1 p.mBig Band Erzhausen, which appears in Höchst for the first time. This band, which was founded in 1996, brings together musicians from the entire Rhine-Main area and impresses with a repertoire that ranges from swing classics to modern arrangements.

A feast for the senses

After the big band there will be the band from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.mSpeaking of jazzenter the stage. This group consists of four talented musicians, including well-known singer Nanni Byl, known for her impressive arrangements of jazz and pop classics. The drummer Michael Großmann, who also works at the Wiesbaden Music and Art School, will delight the audience with his skills. The American pianist J. Hatch, who has his roots in New Orleans, and the double bassist Jörg Mühlhaus, who was awarded the Hessian World Music Prize, round out the line-up.

The crowning finale of the festival will be the band from 4 p.m. to 6 p.mSwing Craft, which will captivate the audience with its rousing swing jazz and lots of fun improvising. A combination of piano, drums, trombone and saxophone creates an unforgettable sound experience.

The jazz festival takes place in the picturesque setting of Höchster Schloss, which is known for its charming ambience. The castle café caters for guests and entry is free. However, donations are warmly welcome to support the voluntary work of Jazzfreunde Höchst.
