New financial community at UZH: discover opportunities for employees!

The Finance Directorate of the University of Zurich (UZH) has set a new focus to improve financial support for employees in the faculties and institutes. A team of six employees from FI Integration will actively contact the various organizational units. At the same time, a financial community for resource managers is being set up to promote the exchange of questions and topics. This year, workshops on personnel cost planning and reporting are also planned in this financial community.

Design of financial processes

The Finance Directorate is largely responsible for shaping the financial and legal framework at UZH. It controls the university-wide financial processes and promotes dialogue between central and decentralized financial actors. In order to achieve these goals, we are looking for a training and community manager for FI integration who will play a key role in the implementation of these approaches. The tasks include, among other things, community management as well as the planning and implementation of training, whereby close cooperation with specialist departments is sought. The support and further development of the UZH financial community is also part of the tasks, as is the coordination of regular meetings of the financial role holders.

Profile and requirements

The position requires a completed bachelor's degree, ideally in finance-related subjects, as well as initial professional experience in controlling or a university environment. Experience in project management is an advantage. In addition, applicants should have very good knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint, and be willing to familiarize themselves with systems such as SharePoint or SAP FI/CO.

Personal skills such as personal responsibility, structured work and communication skills are essential. Flexibility and openness to change are also expected in order to meet the diverse challenges in financial integration.
