Florian Frommenwiler will be the new finance specialist for the Waldstatt municipal administration from June 2025, following Messmer's resignation.
New CFO for Waldstatt: Florian Frommenwiler takes over!
At the public orientation meeting on Wednesday, May 21st, mayor Andreas Gantenbein announced that Florian Frommenwiler from St. Gallen would take over management of finance and accounting for the Waldstätter financial administration. His employment comes into effect next month and has become necessary due to the serious illness of Daniel Messmer, who asked for his employment to be terminated at the end of February.
Daniel Messmer has been Head of Finance since March 1, 2013 and had a workload of 70 percent in the Waldstatt municipal administration. Before working in Waldstatt, Messmer worked as head of financial accounting at the NZZ media group in St. Gallen. Messmer's departure posed a significant challenge for the community, which is now being solved by reorganizing the financial administration with Frommenwiler taking over as his successor.
