Nordex: Order intake doubles despite falling prices.

Nordex recorded a doubling of incoming orders in the first quarter despite a slight decline in prices. The wind turbine maker said it ordered 338 wind turbines with a total capacity of 2,086 megawatts, compared to 1,021 MW in the year-ago quarter. The average sales price per megawatt of output fell to 0.85 million euros, compared to 0.90 million euros in the previous year.

CEO Jose Luis Blanco was positive about the order intake of more than 2 GW and emphasized that the company had a successful start to the new year. Despite the stable prices, Nordex is continuing the successes of previous quarters. This development shows that demand for wind turbines remains strong and the company is on the right track.

Nordex is expected to continue to be successful despite the slight weakening of its share price due to external factors. Investment in renewable energy remains an important market due to the ongoing global need for sustainable energy sources. With the increased order intake, Nordex is well positioned to benefit from this growing sector.
