Nordex doubles order intake despite falling prices

In the first quarter, Nordex doubled its order intake despite a slight decline in prices. The wind turbine manufacturer announced that it has ordered 338 wind turbines with a total output of 2,086 megawatts (MW). This marks a significant increase compared to the same quarter last year, in which the volume was 1,021 MW. The average sales price in euros per megawatt output (ASP) fell to 0.85 million euros/MW compared to 0.90 million euros/MW a year ago.

CEO Jose Luis Blanco commented positively on the developments and emphasized that Nordex was successfully building on the previous quarterly successes with an order intake of over 2 GW and was starting the new year well. Despite this positive news, Nordex shares weakened slightly.

The above figures and developments from the first quarter suggest that Nordex continues to play an important role in the wind energy market and is operating successfully. The increase in incoming orders while prices fall at the same time can be seen as a sign of the company's positive development. CEO Blanco's optimistic statements underline the company's confidence heading into the future.
