Oldesloe with a clear announcement: 5-0 against Groß Grönau!

In the South Association League there were two crucial catch-up games on Easter Saturday, which were of great importance for the relegation battle. VfL Oldesloe won with a convincing 5-0 win against Eintracht Groß Grönau, while SG Breitenfelde/Mölln celebrated a clear 4-1 win against SV Hamberge.

VfL Oldesloe took advantage of the personnel shortage in Groß Grönau, where only seven healthy field players were available. A player from the over-32 team helped out at short notice, but the postponement of the game was rejected, citing income from sausage sales. Oldesloe dominated the action from the start and was already leading 4-0 at half-time. The goals were scored by Jan Bojarinow (8th), Lasse Schönwald (18th), Christian Biermann (35th) and Tom Beckmann (37th), before Henry Hertel scored the final score in the 83rd minute.

Developments in the relegation battle

With the win, VfL Oldesloe has taken 10 out of 12 possible points from the last four games and is in a good position with a seven point lead over the relegation zone. Groß Grönau, on the other hand, is only six points above the relegation zone and has a difficult remaining program to overcome. The coaches expressed themselves accordingly: Marco Urban from Oldesloe spoke of a deserved victory and control over the game, while Dennis Gohr from Grönau emphasized the critical personnel situation, which made the team improvise a lot.

In the second game of the day, SG Breitenfelde/Mölln was finally able to celebrate an important victory and won 4-1 against SV Hamberge. The goals for Breitenfelde/Mölln were scored by Philipp Reimann (32'), Leif Wolff (42'), Niclas Lange (51', penalty) and Tilmann Otto (64'). Despite the defeat, the Hambergers remain four points above the relegation zone, but were unable to recruit a striker with regional league experience in this game. Coach Thorben Richter was proud of his team, while Hamberge's Kambiz Tafazoli congratulated the opponent and noted that possession of the ball did not lead to the desired results.

Easter is traditionally a time for catch-up games in the South Association League, and how hlsports.de reported, the two local teams, Oldesloe and Breitenfelde/Mölln, are particularly in focus as they want to move away from the endangered table area.
