Sentry Enterprises launches glowing OLED credit card

The company Sentry Enterprises has announced the development of a credit card with an OLED panel, marketed as the Radiance card. This innovative card offers card issuing institutions the opportunity to offer their customers a modern and eye-catching credit or debit card. The OLED panel serves primarily as a visual effect as it lights up part of the card, especially during a transaction. This allows, for example, a neobank to have its logo shine on the card and thus create a unique appearance.

The Radiance card aims to provide banks with increased customer loyalty by using the glowing panel to motivate customers to use the card more often. Although the colored logo on the card cannot be changed, it is still a technologically interesting innovation. The possibility of making contactless payments is also available, as the card is powered via RFID to activate the panel.

The production of the OLED panel is carried out by Konica Minolta, a company that has been promoting the commercialization of OLED applications in credit cards for several years. Although no specific partners have been named yet, it can be assumed that neobanks in particular will show interest in the Radiance card. However, the timing of the launch remains unclear as Sentry Enterprises continues to evaluate potential partnerships. Overall, the credit card with an OLED panel seems to be an interesting innovation that could potentially revolutionize the future of payments.
