Siemens Energy: Shares soaring – forecast increased for the first time!

Siemens Energy shares saw a notable price move on Wednesday afternoon, April 23, 2025. Loud finance.net the price rose by 2.1 percent to EUR 65.16 in XETRA trading. The highest level of the day reached EUR 66.08, while the share was at EUR 65.00 at the start of trading. On that day, 2,013,437 shares changed hands. The high of EUR 66.08 is the highest value in a year, but is 1.39 percent below the 52-week high. In comparison, the 52-week low was set on April 25, 2024 at EUR 17.34. The price is currently 275.78 percent above this low. The dividend estimate for the current year is EUR 0.053 per share, while the analysts' average price target is EUR 51.50. The quarterly figures for the quarter ended December 31, 2024 were published on February 12, 2025. EPS for this quarter is EUR 0.23, a decrease compared to EUR 1.79 in the same quarter last year. The increase in sales was 16.90 percent and now stands at EUR 8.94 billion. The key figures for the second quarter of 2025 are expected to be published on May 8, 2025.

Additionally reported ProSieben that Siemens Energy made a profit of 108 million euros in the second quarter of the 2023 financial year, which runs from January to March. This represents a significant increase compared to a loss of 189 million euros in the previous year. Sales grew by 3 percent to 8.3 billion euros. As a result, the company has increased its sales forecast for the current year from 3-7 percent previously to 10-12 percent. The target for the annual result remains a profit of one billion euros, but Siemens Energy expects losses again in the second half of 2023, as the profit after the first six months was already almost 1.7 billion euros. The wind power subsidiary Gamesa continues to struggle with loss-making business that is burdened by old contracts and quality problems. A turnaround program that is expected to deliver positive margins by 2026 is currently being implemented, with a focus on Europe and the US in the onshore business. The realignment could lead to job cuts, but the workforce in the offshore sector should remain stable. Jochen Eickholt, who was responsible for Gamesa's recovery plan, will step down on July 31, 2023 and be replaced by Vinod Philip. Siemens Energy shares rose sharply in the morning and became the biggest winner in the DAX.
