Stuttgart: Anke Zimmermann is now in charge of finances at RBK!
The Robert Bosch Hospital (RBK) in Stuttgart has had a new person responsible for finances since June 1, 2023. Anke Zimmermann has been appointed as Chief Financial and Services Officer (CFSO) and succeeds Frank Kohler, who is leaving the hospital at his own request on June 30, 2025. Zimmermann's appointment marks a significant restructuring of the hospital's management, as the position of commercial director will not be filled. Instead, this role will be integrated into the top management level, eliminating the previous dual leadership in the management. This shows the clinic's efforts to become modern and efficient, reports kma online.
Anke Zimmermann brings extensive experience in the areas of finance, purchasing and restructuring. She worked at Robert Bosch GmbH for over two decades and most recently headed key areas such as “Risk Management Suppliers” and “Purchasing Sustainability & Corporate Social Responsibility”. In her new role, she will use her expertise to further advance the RBK, which has 1,191 beds and admits up to 40,000 inpatients annually.
Change in leadership and strategic direction
Frank Kohler has held the position of deputy managing director since July 1, 2020 and, together with the medical director, Prof. Dr. med. Mark Dominik Alscher, the hospital. Kohler, a graduate in business administration with more than 25 years of experience in various management positions in the Bosch Group, was largely responsible for the strategic realignment of the RBK. He recently took over the acting duties of the commercial managing director Dr. Rolf Zettl, who left the hospital for family reasons, like ku health management describes.
The ongoing development of the site is also supported by the planned Bosch Health Campus, which is scheduled to be built by 2025. This campus will become a center for patient-oriented cutting-edge medicine and will focus on treatment, research and education. The new building of the Robert Bosch Center for Tumor Diseases is also nearing completion, which underlines the RBK's ambitions to offer excellent healthcare services.
Under the new leadership led by Anke Zimmermann, the Robert Bosch Hospital will strive to further expand its leading position in the healthcare sector while implementing innovative solutions to improve patient care and internal processes. The continuous focus on quality and efficiency remains a central objective.
