This decline is attributed to increased inflation as a result of the Ukraine war and the associated higher interest rates. Despite the collapse in sales figures, experts point out that the market for vacant building land is tight and price pressure remains high.

The real estate market in the Rotenburg district reflects the general development in Lower Saxony. Price declines have been recorded particularly for single- and two-family homes and condominiums. Newer apartments achieve higher prices, while older and energy-efficient properties tend to suffer price reductions. The uncertainties resulting from political discussions such as the “Heating Act” also contribute to the price fluctuations.
