Building permits 2025: Germany experiences new record for apartments!
In April 2025, an increase in building permits was recorded in Germany, indicating a positive development in housing construction. A total of 18,500 apartments were approved, which corresponds to an increase of 4.9 percent or 900 building permits compared to the same month last year company-today.de reported. Compared to the previous year, building permits for single-family homes increased by 15.4 percent or 1,900 to a total of 14,200 permits. This positive trend has existed since December 2024. In contrast, the number of approved apartments in two-family houses fell by 9.7 percent or 400 to 4,000. For multi-family homes, the number of approvals remained almost constant at 38,600, but recorded a slight decline of 0.1 percent or 40 apartments compared to the same period last year.
