Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's divorce has been officially finalized since the end of 2023 after a protracted legal battle. This realization came after an eight-year legal battle that began in September 2016, when Jolie cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split.

The "legal battle" primarily concerned custody issues for their six children: Maddox (23), Pax (21), Zahara (20), Shiloh (19) and the twins Knox and Vivienne (16).
