The legendary bulwark of Graz: Now for sale for 148,500 euros!
The Bollwerk Graz, a prominent nightclub on Triester Straße, is for sale. The price for the entire nightlife empire is 148,500 euros. According to the advertisement, which was published on Willhaben on August 30, 2025, it is the “largest club in the city” that is fully furnished and can be used immediately for business. The sale announcement comes as the bulwark announced its final closure on August 26, 2025 after 26 years.
The operators have announced on social media that the club will not be returning from the summer break. Due to numerous requests from regular guests, a farewell party has been organized which will take place on Friday, September 5th, 2025 and Saturday, September 6th, 2025. The first event entitled “THIS IS THE END – the last dance!” opens to guests aged 16 and over, while the second is intended for an audience aged 18 and over. There will also be a “MEMORIES NIGHT” that celebrates over 20 years of Bollwerk Graz.
Farewell to an era
The closure of Bollwerk Graz joins a long list of nightclub closures that have occurred in the region since the corona pandemic. The last few years have been characterized by sustained economic challenges. The operating group cites economic and resource-related factors as reasons for the well-known club's demise.
The last location of the bulwark in the Puntigam district was on the roof of a former shopping center on Triester Straße. The operators plan to concentrate on a new project: The former disco “La Noche” in Gralla near Leibnitz is to be revitalized as an “event facility”. Nevertheless, the future development of nightlife in Graz remains uncertain.
An attractive sales offer
The sales offer is aimed not only at restaurateurs, but also at investors, event professionals or career changers. The property is around 1,100 square meters in size and is equipped with several bars, two floors, VIP areas and modern technology. This means it offers a lot of potential for future operators.
The operators advertise the Bollwerk as a unique opportunity to invest in an already established club and thus take on an important role in the Graz party scene. The final closure of the bulwark not only leaves a void in the city's nightlife, but also a nostalgic look back at two decades full of unforgettable nights and experiences.
