The Tirana Public Prosecutor's Office has launched extensive confiscation measures to secure assets suspected of coming from criminal activities. Loud Gazeta Express The measure affects a total of 18 properties as well as bank accounts of affected natural and legal persons. These measures are intended to prevent the assets from being used or sold for further criminal purposes.
Two luxury vehicles, a Range Rover and a Smart, were seized as part of the operation. These vehicles are registered on different license plates. The seized assets are located in different areas such as Tirana, Bathore, Farka and Marikaj.
Operation Benefit Details
An additional dimension to the investigation arises from a specific operation by the Money Laundering Investigation Department of the Tirana Police Directorate, known as “Benefit”. How Bota Sot reported, immovable assets worth around 10 million euros were seized. The suspicion is that these assets, which, in addition to the 18 apartments already mentioned, also include 11 garages, a plot of land, 2 units, a villa and the license for passenger transport, come from the criminal activities of citizen P. (N) G.
The Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction of Tirana was asked by the Public Prosecutor's Office for a preventive enforcement order. The citizen P. (N) G. was convicted due to his criminal involvement in the area of narcotics. The seized assets are believed to be part of his criminal business operation.
