According to a report by www.stern.de, Franz Beckenbauer, who died on Sunday at the age of 78, drew up his will in 2019 and, among other things, allocated his real estate to his legacy.

Franz Beckenbauer became known not only for his outstanding achievements in football, but also for his considerable fortune and financial legacy. According to estimates, Beckenbauer had assets of around 80 million euros, although some sources even put it at 160 million euros. In addition to the income from his football career, part of his assets also included advertising contracts and investments in real estate.

A significant investment for Beckenbauer is said to have been real estate, which his wife Heidi is now apparently allowed to decide on selling. Some of these properties are to be handed over to the Beckenbauer children Francesca (20) and Joel (23). However, the exact distribution of the inheritance among his older sons Thomas (60) and Michael (57) as well as his wife Heidi is not explained in more detail.

The death of Franz Beckenbauer therefore not only has an impact on the sports sector, but also on the real estate market, especially with regard to the possible sale or division of his real estate holdings.
