GTA Online: New update brings shocking money laundering features!
Rockstar Games released the “Money Fronts” summer update for GTA 5 Online on June 18, 2025. The update is free for all players who own GTA 5 or the standalone version of GTA Online. With this update comes a wealth of new features and content that significantly expand the gaming experience.
Key news includes three new businesses: Hands-On Car Wash, cannabis-based shop Smoke on the Water and Higgins Helitours. These operations are intended to serve as a front for a networked money laundering system and combine legal and illegal activities. By running these businesses, players can generate passive income and increase their earnings from other businesses such as hemp plantations and smuggling cargoes. The introduction of these new business models shows how Rockstar is trying to offer players the opportunity to act creatively in the world of Los Santos.
New missions and vehicles
The update also brings twelve new illegal missions. These include stealing laundered money and hijacking a police helicopter. Legal activities such as car washing, helicopter tours and weed deliveries are also included. Another highlight are the new orders for Mr. Faber, in which the players have to demonstrate their “problem-solving skills” in order to satisfy sensitive customers.
The update also introduces seven new vehicles, including the Dewbauchee Rapid GT X and the Western Police Motorcycle. Over 25 already known vehicles are also available again, which further increases the variety of mobile vehicles. Dataminers have even found evidence of a new luxury real estate platform that could potentially be featured in future updates.
GTA+ member bonuses and future content
Exclusive benefits for GTA+ members are also part of the update. These include a special vehicle and additional bonuses on the Wheel of Fortune. Also new to the game is the Medical Courier profession, which introduces players to various new activities. Rockstar Games has announced that it will release more content in the coming weeks, including additional vehicles and new challenges.
The community is also speculating that the possible December real estate update could be the last major content update for GTA 5 Online before the highly anticipated GTA 6 is scheduled to release in May 2026. Official information about the plans after the launch of GTA 6 has not yet been published.
