Real estate prices are rising in Bremen: top spot for purchase price increases
After two years of stagnation on the real estate market, purchase prices for real estate have risen again, especially in Bremen. According to the real estate marketplace Immowelt, the asking prices for condominiums in Bremen rose by 2.6 percent to 2,894 euros per square meter in the first quarter. Bremen, together with Cologne and Dortmund, tops the list of cities with the highest purchase price increases.
Compared to last year's prices, Bremen is in second place with a decrease of only 0.7 percent. In contrast, asking prices in Dortmund and Cologne have fallen significantly, while only Leipzig has seen growth. The managing director of Immowelt, Felix Kusch, attributes the price increase to cheaper financing options. Building interest rates have fallen noticeably in recent months, leading to increased demand for building financing and property purchases.
The Immowelt price compass is based on published real estate advertisements and analyzes the asking prices of condominiums in the 15 largest cities in Germany. By using a standard apartment, prices can be compared. There is a positive development on the real estate market in Bremen, which is influenced by various factors such as financing and demand for real estate.
