Klagenfurt loses popular trampoline park: Jump World One closes!

The popular trampoline park “Jump World One” in Klagenfurt will close its doors. Jump World One GmbH announced this on Wednesday, May 28, 2025. The operator is withdrawing from the leisure industry after 4.5 years and has already handed over the premises at Südring 211 to the homeowner Pletzer Immobilien. Negotiations with interested parties about a possible successor to the business are underway.

The trampoline hall was opened in September 2021 during the Corona crisis and was able to operate successfully in the first two years despite these challenges. Almost 100,000 visitors were welcomed in 2024, and the trend for 2025 appeared to be increasing. However, according to press spokeswoman Marion Trattnig, strategic wrong decisions by the previous management and the current wave of inflation are responsible for the operator's withdrawal.

Economic challenges

The tense economic situation and the loss of purchasing power have hit many sectors, including the leisure industry, hard. The balance sheet for 2023 shows negative equity of over 200,000 euros and liabilities of over 1 million euros. Discussions about contract terminations with suppliers are already underway while employees are largely on vacation or logged off.

The closure of the trampoline hall also brings with it discussions about the future use of the location. Adolf Krumpl had suggested that the city purchase the property in order to build an indoor swimming pool there. However, there used to be resistance to the construction of the sports pool on the neighboring property, which has now been abandoned by ex-magistrate director Peter Jost. Support for Krumpl's proposal appears to have fallen.

Owners of vouchers for the trampoline park can contact reception@jumpworld.one. The location is considered to be well frequented and offers opportunities for a new operator if a successor arrangement can be found promptly. Given the positive number of visitors in the first two years, it is to be hoped that the premises can be revived again soon.

The closure of “Jump World One” is a loss for the citizens of Klagenfurt, as the amusement park was a popular destination for families and young people. The developments surrounding the succession and use of the property remain exciting topics for future urban design.
