District town supports craft businesses: training costs supported!
The district town recently launched a new program to support craft businesses with the training costs of their trainees. This initiative aims to counteract the shortage of skilled workers in various sectors and to promote the training of young people in the skilled trades. The support includes reimbursement of up to 50 percent of the costs that companies incur for training trainees.
This measure not only benefits companies, but also young people, who are given a better chance of receiving vocational training in the skilled trades. The city administration emphasizes that the support plays an important role in keeping the craft location attractive and thus strengthening the economy in the region.
Background to training funding
In addition to the new financial support, the Sankt Wendel district offers a variety of funding opportunities for further vocational training in different areas through the Advancement Training Funding Act (AFBG). Like the district landkreis-st-wendel.de reported, the funding is independent of the form of further training, be it full-time, part-time, school-based or as part of distance learning courses.
Participants in full-time events receive a monthly maintenance fee. However, when calculating this contribution, the income and assets of the applicants are checked. In addition, funding is provided for the costs of measures and examinations as well as the costs of the masterpiece.
Financial details and application
An important point is that since the 4th AFBG Amendment Act, which came into force on August 1, 2020, the grant and loan are each 50 percent. If you pass the test, 50 percent of the loan used will be forgiven. This makes financial support not only attractive, but also easy to plan.
Interested companies and trainees can request the application documents from the Office for Training Funding. The contact details are as follows: District of Sankt Wendel, School Administration Office, Training Funding, Mommstraße 27/29, 66606 St. Wendel. Please note that the office is closed on Wednesdays.
For further information about the programs offered, the AFBG Digital website (afbg-digital.de) is available. Anyone interested can find out more about the various funding options and their conditions here.
The new measures taken by the district town and the district of Sankt Wendel work together to secure the future of the skilled trades and further increase the quality of training.
