Legionella and failed fire protection: criminal charges against Donaucenter property management
The owners of the Donaucenter in Neu-Ulm have taken legal action against the property management. The criminal complaint was handed over to the local police because the property management is said to have ignored the dangers of legionella and neglected fire protection for years. The affected owners, including Ali Dabanli, Harald Ruess and Egon Gross, have compiled extensive material such as videos, reports and applications to show the various problems in the property.
It is not the first time that the owners have drawn attention to grievances in the Donaucenter. But this time the step goes further and includes a criminal complaint against the managing director of the company that took over the property management of the Donaucenter. The complaint is directed against both the property manager and the administrative advisors who are responsible for the building from 1971 to 1974.
The allegations include the strong suspicion that despite knowledge of the problems, the property management ignored the Legionella contamination in the pipes. A current administrative advisor also supports the complaint against the property manager. The affected owners hope that the allegations will be dealt with fairly and that measures will be taken to remedy the grievances at the Donaucenter in Neu-Ulm.
