Max Schlereth takes over local channels münchen.tv and tv.ingolstadt
The entrepreneur Max Schlereth has taken over the shares in the local channels münchen.tv and tv.ingolstadt from the previous shareholders. Both channels now belong to the Derag group of companies, which is expanding its business area. The Derag Group has previously been active in the management of residential and commercial properties as well as in the management of a hotel chain with 18 hotels in nine cities. Max Schlereth emphasized that he believes in preserving all 74 jobs and in long-term plans for both stations. He emphasized the power and success of local television because it is close to people, authentic and falsifiable.
Previous shareholders such as Medienpool TV, Studio Gong and Munich newspaper publishers were among the shareholders of the local broadcaster under the leadership of Helmut Markwort. Horst Rettig, managing director of münchen.tv and tv.ingolstadt, emphasized the stations' positive development despite previous crises. The takeover by Max Schlereth is seen as a stroke of luck because he is fully committed to the company. The broadcasters are entering a new era in which they want to continue to work successfully.
münchen.tv reaches over 200,000 viewers every day and tv.ingolstadt provides more than 40,000 people with news from the region. The exact purchase price for the channels remains unknown, and the transaction still requires the approval of the Bavarian State Center for New Media (BLM). Max Schlereth expressed optimism about the station's future and emphasized his strong commitment to local broadcasting.
