New residential area Hofseeblick: Kargow is becoming a family paradise!

The new “Hofseeblick” residential area is being developed in Kargow near Waren an der Müritz. The project's groundbreaking ceremony took place on May 14, 2025. Mayor Matthias Kagel emphasized the great importance of the project for the development of the community, which currently has 690 residents. The target groups of the new residential area are primarily young families and retirees who want to find a new home here.

In addition to Mayor Kagel, representatives from authorities, planning and construction companies as well as the managing director of LGE Mecklenburg-Vorpommern GmbH took part in the groundbreaking ceremony. The LGE was commissioned in October 2020 to develop the area that was previously used for agriculture and lay fallow for a long time. Before development, existing agricultural facilities had to be removed.

Compensatory measures and investments

The development of the residential area covers an area of ​​around 3.4 hectares, on which 36 building plots will be created. These vary in size from 563 to 890 square meters. The land is intended for the construction of individual houses and tiny houses. The LGE is investing around 4.5 million euros in the development, with extensive compensatory measures being implemented on an area of ​​around 10,000 square meters.

Kargow offers numerous advantages thanks to its convenient location about six kilometers from Waren (Müritz). The transport connection to Waren, which can be reached in just ten minutes, enables quick access to city services. There is also a primary school and a daycare center in the village, which makes it particularly attractive for families.

There are forests, moors and lakes nearby that offer numerous recreational opportunities.
