50 years of Kinderhaus: A celebratory look at the future of talent!

On June 1, 2025, the Ho Chi Minh City Children's House celebrated its 50th anniversary with an impressive party. Under the motto “Children’s House – Where Dreams Fly,” numerous important personalities gathered to honor this special occasion. Among those present were Nguyen Van Duoc, deputy secretary of the City Party Committee and chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, and Nguyen Pham Duy Trang, secretary of the Central Youth Union and chairman of the Central Council of Young Pioneers.

The director of the children's home, Mr. Pham Ngoc Tuyen, emphasized that many young talents have been discovered and promoted over the past 50 years. To further support these efforts, construction is planned for a new children's palace in the Thu Thiem urban area, which will provide access to art, science and sport. In his speech, Nguyen Van Duoc underlined the importance of investing in children as an investment in the future.

Extensions and support

As part of the celebrations, there was a call to modernize the facilities and expand creative spaces in order to further increase the quality of the offerings. Particular emphasis was placed on supporting disadvantaged children through the city's “General Scholarship Fund”. The children's home team also received recognition for their valuable contributions to the education and support of children.

Another significant achievement was celebrated on the occasion of the 131st birthday of President Ho Chi Minh and the 80th founding anniversary of the Junior Association: the inauguration of the room “The Room of Uncle Ho and Children” in the Children's House. This room includes a statue of “Uncle Ho and children,” as well as a sanctuary and several themed exhibition rooms focusing on the life and career of President Ho Chi Minh. The members of the Junior Association are informed about the important teachings and activities of Ho Chi Minh in these premises.

The celebratory event and the associated investments in the development of the children's home reflect the city's commitment, particularly with regard to preparing young generations for the future. It's not just about celebrating an anniversary, but also about looking forward to ensure that children's dreams can continue to be nurtured.
