On August 26, 2025, Lam Minh Thanh, deputy secretary of the An Giang Provincial Party Committee, delivered a significant speech during the Party Congress in Can Dang Township. In his speech, he called for the intensive construction of a clean and strong party and political system. This is part of a broader reform strategy aimed at improving the leadership skills and fighting power of the party's grassroots organizations. Lam Minh Thanh emphasized the need to study and follow Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morals and way of life.

A central aspect of his speech was the administrative reform within the party, which is intended to help stabilize the organization and promote solidarity and unity within the party structures. The municipality of Can Dang has already made progress in planning and investing in transport infrastructure as well as land and environmental management. In addition, promoting applied science and technology for green and circular production is seen as crucial.

Lam Minh Thanh also talked about the use of information technology in administration. Building a digital government aims to provide citizens and businesses with faster and more transparent services. New party leadership and outlook

The executive committee of the Can Dang Municipal Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term was also announced. It consists of 27 comrades, with the Standing Committee consisting of 9 comrades. Comrade Tran Tan Phuong was appointed secretary of the Party Committee of Can Dang Municipality.
